Founder and Clinical Director
Roza Rivkin, MS, CCC-SLP, is the founder and Clinical Director of First Step Therapy, OT, SLP & PT, PLLC. A speech-language pathologist with decades of experience, she established First Step Therapy in 2008 in response to unmet needs within her community. From the start of her career, Roza has been deeply committed to helping children with developmental delays and disorders reach their fullest potential.
Her professional journey spans outpatient clinics, specialized educational settings, and hospital-based programs. Early in her career, she served as Chief of Communication Disorders at the Developmental Center of Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, an experience that shaped her leadership, clinical excellence, and dedication to mentorship.
Guided by the belief that when we help others grow, we grow ourselves, Roza has built a practice rooted in compassion, collaboration, and service. She is deeply invested in mentoring therapists and supporting students, while fostering a warm, respectful environment where strong partnerships with families lead to meaningful, lasting progress. Her philosophy—“Small steps of care lead to lifelong impact”—continues to guide the culture and mission of First Step Therapy.
