Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT)
Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) services provide personalized support for preschool children with developmental needs. Services are delivered by New York State–certified special education teachers and take place in the child’s natural setting, such as the classroom, daycare, or home.
SEITs help children build skills in learning, communication, social interaction, behavior, and daily routines. They work closely with families and teachers to support each child’s goals and help them participate successfully in their preschool day.
Services are provided in accordance with the child’s CPSE-approved Individualized Education Program (IEP).
